Today was 7th grade's final day of Physics, and all students presented their Rube Goldberg projects. Each project needed to include six elements (a screw, an inclined plane, a wedge, a wheel and axle, a lever, and a pulley) which would result in popping a balloon. It was wonderful to see students' imaginations at work!

Throughout the month of January, Friday Grades morning assembly has opened and closed with students and teachers singing We Shall Overcome together. Grades teachers have presented stories from different times in Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life, from his childhood, to training as a preacher, to meeting his wife, to his leadership and activism. During today's assembly, Ms. Opdahl and Ms. Goodman talked about the March on Washington, and led the group in their own march, interlocking hands and singing together. It was a beautiful culmination of the stories shared this month.
