Class of 2031 Rose Ceremony
The Class of 2024 welcomes Grade 1 to WSP.
The Rose Ceremony is a long tradition in Waldorf schools around the world. This special assembly marks the beginning of a journey through the grades for the First Graders who are welcomed to the grade school by our oldest students, the Eighth Graders. In a ceremony held this afternoon, each eighth grade student shared words of advice and wishes for the Class of 2031, and then presented each first grade student with a rose—a flower that starts as a seed and grows into a complex and beautiful flower. Eighth grade class teacher Ms. King also presented a rose to first grade teacher Mr. Brog.
