Class of 2030 Rose Ceremony
The Rose Ceremony is a long tradition in Waldorf schools around the world. This special assembly marks the beginning of a journey through the grades for the First Graders who are welcomed to the grade school by our oldest students, the Eighth Graders. In a ceremony held this afternoon, each eighth grade student shared words of advice and wishes for the Class of 2030, and then presented each first grade student with a rose—a flower that starts as a seed and grows into a complex and beautiful flower. Eighth grade class teacher Ms. Illar also presented a rose to first grade teacher Ms. Woodburn (pictured here) and Primary Grades Assistant Ursa.
