Scenes from the week: Sept 9–13

Per WSP tradition, the Upper Grades enjoyed a camping trip last week at Raccoon Creek State Park.

Grades 1, 2, and 3 enjoy recess during these beautiful fall days.

Grade 5 works in lesson books preparing for the end of the Ancient Civilizations Block.

Redbud Morning Garden student "make soup."

WSP Board of Trustee president Dr. Edmunds observes as a Buttercup Kindergartener sands the wooden pieces for the sword she’s making. The six-year-olds typically make swords for Michaelmas each year. They are assisted in cutting the wood by Mr. Ayden and Ms. Jill.

Chalkboard drawing in the Grade 2 classroom for the current block focusing on Saint Stories. Depicted is an image of St. George and the dragon, a story often told for Michaelmas because of the themes of courage and conviction.

M. Collier discusses memoirs with Grade 8.

Señora Garcés discusses Hispanic Heritage Month with Grade 4.

Ms. Louise talks about natural and unnatural fibers with Grade 7 as students design the slippers they will make this year in handwork.

Our Little Friends are settling in nicely.
