Grade 7 Geometry

Grade 7 finished a Geometry Block in which the class worked with the concepts of angles, circles, and spirals. Students quickly picked up on rules around congruent angles and used their newfound knowledge to solve angle puzzles with ease. Their work with spirals brought the basics of Archimedes and equiangular spirals, which laid a foundation for working with the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio. This block stretches the 7th grader in new ways, requiring persistence, precision, and patience with the process—and the self.
