7th Grade: African Geography Block

The 7th Grade kicked off 2021 with a main lesson block focused on African Geography.

Looking at the continent through the lenses of the land and culture, students studied the regions of Africa looking at the geography, animal and plant life, religions, the tradition and modern fashion, and the foods. One assignment included cooking an African dish. The block ended with a test on all the countries of Africa and their locations (test yourself if you want!).

Making peanut stew, tagine, chickpeas, and other regional delights allowed the students to live into the flavors and smells of Morocco, Ghana, and South Africa from their kitchens!
