Heartwood Annex Updates: CORE Ready Submission

Many thanks to WSP eighth grader, Miles Sanders, who took a lead role in drafting the design work for Heartwood Annex’s interpretive signage which is now installed outside of Heartwood Annex.
Miles received input from his eighth grade classmates and mentoring from graphic designer and WSP Marketing & Communication Support Staff, Jenn Moore. This interpretive signage is a requirement for our pursuit of CORE certification.
On Dec. 22, 2022, the team for Heartwood Annex uploaded WSP’s responses to the auditor for the International Living Future Institute for our CORE Ready submission. This is the next step of a process and represents WSP’s commitment to sustainability and the CORE certification. There will be a second set of responses for WSP to submit for the final step of CORE certification.
Heartwood Annex has been named a finalist for the 2022 MBA Building Excellence Awards Program. The project was entered in the “new construction under $10 million” category. Winning projects will be presented February 23, 2023.
