Return to School Committee (RSC) Update: WSP’s Health & Safety Plan Travel Guidelines Update
The CO2 monitoring system has been installed in all classrooms to measure how well our air filters are working. Mark Staley, Interim Facilities Manager, will offer a presentation about the school’s Air Quality Enhancement Design Plan at the Parent Association (PA) meeting tomorrow morning. You should have received an email with Zoom meeting info from your class PA rep. All are encouraged to attend.
Last week, the RSC made a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to revise the language of Section 16 of WSP’s Health & Safety Plan to clarify travel guidelines. The Board voted to revise the language as written below. Please keep this in mind as you make plans for Mid-Winter Break: WSP will require travel protocols per state guidelines: COVID-19 Information for Travelers. In addition to complying with the state guidelines, anyone who has traveled outside of Pennsylvania will be required to quarantine for 14 days before returning to school (and the quarantine time will be considered an excused absence), notwithstanding any shorter quarantine period provided for in, or required by,the state guidelines. Quarantine is not required for individuals who travel routinely for work or other critical purposes, such as medical appointments or to comply with a court order such as custody exchanges.
Thank you to our entire community for your continued adherence to WSP’s Health & Safety Plan. Your efforts are making a positive difference. Super Bowl Sunday is approaching. Let’s stay safe by not gathering outside of our immediate families. We know this is hard! We are doing all we can to keep our doors open as long as possible, so we can get through a most trying year healthy and united as a community.
