December Celebrations
Students were a buzz all week as WSP acknowledged some of the many significant holidays celebrated this time of year. Second Grade shared with Grade 1 three candle-lighting traditions—lighting the menorah, the kinara, and an advent wreath—the class has been practicing all month. Each tradition was expressed in song or verse.
Guest teaching artists brought a Kwanzaa celebration to WSP students filling the auditorium with creativity and Ashe (positive energy).
Middle School classes serenaded WSP students and admin, then broke into dance while an 8th grade student played Linus and Lucy from "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Buttercup Kindergarteners took in the performance.
