Waldorf Wednesdays: Middle School and Beyond

We are excited to announce a new offering, Waldorf Wednesdays, for newly accepted, applicant, and existing WSP families. These virtual gatherings will take place on Wednesday evenings via Zoom, be led by WSP faculty and staff with support from members of the community, and will cover a variety of topics related to Waldorf education.

Topics covered:

• How does WSP’s Middle School meet our students?
• How does our approach support their transition to high school and beyond?
• Discussion will include parents of current and former WSP middle school students.

Presenters:

Robyn Thomas

Ms. Thomas began her path of discovery in Waldorf education with the birth of her daughter, twenty years ago. Ms. Thomas taught in public schools throughout Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts before working at Waldorf School of Pittsburgh as the After School Program Director. She became a class teacher in 2001 and has held various positions at the school, including Director of State Licensing, Enrollment and Marketing Assistant, and Morning Garden Assistant. She is currently our 6th grade teacher and our Grades Faculty Chair.

Denise Pollack

Ms. Denise Pollack brings twenty years of experience teaching at a local independent school to the Middle School as an Upper Grades Teacher. She teaches 6th grade math, 7th grade Pre-Algebra, and 8th grade Algebra.
