About the Event
On Wednesday morning, WSP will enjoy a celebration of Kwanzaa led by WSP parent, Sister IAsia Thomas. This time together will include a performance of African dance and drumming. We offer this celebration to uplift and celebrate our Black and Brown students and families. Our auditorium is limited in capacity, particularly as we distance our seating, however we joyfully invite and welcome Black, Brown or Indigenous students to attend and celebrate Kwanzaa in person. Please refer to the email from your class teacher(s) with details. The celebration will be Zoomed into grades classrooms as well, so we can all witness the celebration. A combination of students from different pods will come together in the Auditorium. We will set up chairs that are spaced apart, students will be seated with others from their own class, and the air filtration system will be in use.
